Request

You can request an item or title when it has the following status:

Requesting an item ensures that when it is returned or ready for you, it will be held for you to pickup from the loans desk within 5 days. You will get a message in Login to myLINC and an email notification that the item is ready for pickup.

When viewing a record with an item that is checked out and that you want to request the library to hold for you, click on the Request button at the top of the screen.

Type your matriculation or staff or membership number and personal identification number (PIN). Click on Submit.

Click on the copy that you want to request. If there are multiple copies, you may want to choose the one with the earliest due date or the one in the library you frequent. Click on Request selected item.

Make sure you see the message: Your request will be delivered to ... when it is available.

If there are other holds on an item e.g. DUE DD-MM-YY +1 HOLD when you request the item you join the queue for the item becoming the second requester. If you do not need the item requested, use Login to myLINC to cancel your request.

Click on Regular Display to go back to the record or click on Start Over to search by another option.
